Well since TNA is issuing open challenges to anyone in popular culture mull on this for a bit....

Last night President Obama came out "Real American". Great sense of humor. I wonder what the brain trusts in TNA are saying about this.

Scenario 1-On the opening segment of next week's IMPACT. Hulk Hogan comes out and challenges the president to a debate. Cue double of course.

Scenario 2-The double wins the debate and Hogan can't stand it. As the debate is over and they go to shake hands. Hogan, clotheslines the Obamaclone, and challenges him to a BIRTH CERTIFICATE ON A POLL MATCH. The stipulation-whoever can PIN his birth certificate on the poll wins.

Just to clarify the above was A JOKE!

Question 1-How long has CTWE been in existence? -Almost 3 years now, CTWE began in August 2008.

Question 2-What kind of atmosphere can one expect at a CTWE event?-Family friendly, fun, and lots of high-flying entertainment.

Question 3-How long have you been a fan of wrestling?-My whole life.

Question 4-What was the first wrestling card you ever saw?-I don't remember the whole card, but the main event was The Rock vs Stone Cold, it was a house show event at the XL center in Hartford. That was the first live event I ever attended. I think it was back in 1998.


Question 5-Who did you cheer for when you were a kid?-Shawn Michaels and The Rock, hands down.

Question 6-Is indy wrestling alive and well in the state of CT? -Unfortunately I would say not it is not. CTWE is the only true independent company in CT as of right now, excluding NEW who runs in multiple states and bring sin huge names. There have been numerous companies within the past, and about 2-3 years ago around this time there were probably a good 4-5 promotions one could work for in CT.

All the more reasons for people to check this event out, I have always said that indy wrestling really needs to shine in CT. I know that CT is WWE's back yard, but some indies should exist here. Indies can only do that with YOUR support

Question 7-Who are the stars of CTWE?-Although I feel all of our talent is superb, I would have to say that the top dogs would be Dave Cole, Chris Battle, Frankie Arion, Lukas Sharp, William King, Brian Anthony, J-Busta, AJ Cruise, and Ant Battle.

I invite any of these names to post a video as a sort of way of introducing themselves.

Question 9-Any chance of CTWE coming a bit closer to Hartford, CT? i don't see it happening in the near future, although never say never. We have a great relationship with the Bethany Town Hall and are very appreciative of how cooperative they have been with us throughout the years


Question 10-There are many fans who want to see the "glitz and glamor".
There are other die-hards who believe that the "wrestling" is the most
 important thing and the rest is icing on the cake?
I think that feds big or small need to strike a balance b/ween the two. What about you?- I feel that while wrestling is the sport behind the event itself, any promotion can put on good matches. but its the entertainment aspect that separates promotions from one another. people need to care about what they are seeing. Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant may have been the worst "wrestling" match of all time, but 93,000 people still came to see it and it is many people's favorite match to date, for example.

I saw the Hogan/Andre match, I still remember going crazy when Hogan body slammed Andre. Steamboat/Savage may have been the show stealer in many hardcore  fans' eyes, but you can't deny the above statement. Wrestling needs to be entertaining, but still needs to focus on the wrestling  CTWE (IMO) is trying to strike a balance. Judge for yourself, come to the May 14th card in Bethany, CT.

How Not to Draw Attention To Your Product.-Like That's Gonna Help!

Apparently the King of the Mountain Jeff Jarrett has issued a challenge to the newly married William and Kate. Jarrett is tired of the "free loaders". The story broke in the reputable journalistic institution known as THE DAILY STAR First of all-yeah right. Privileged royals have better ways to spend other people's money than to come to Orlando, FL to take part in an exhibition contest. Second of all-this type of  "pandering" isn't gonna do anything for anyone. I am sure that we will get doubles to play the parts of the royals. Let me guess one of the knockouts will probably interfere in the match and try to seduce "Wills" away from "Kate"....fuck it! I'm not gonna give them anymore ammunition. They can shoot themselves in the foot just fine without my help.

Bad Decisions-Watching Impact....

Why do you hate yourself so?

That was the reply to my post on FB announcing that I would watch TNA's  show which aired last night.

Segment 1- Karen Jarrett, and all the "Knockouts" in the ring. Karen wants to find out who Kurt Angle is boinking. We are left with 1/2 of the former Beautiful Peoplle, and the other half is under some kind of mind control, from some chick named Winter.

PS I would of bet money that the catering and seamstress women were both boinkiong Kurt Angle, and anything else that came along, just to hurry the segment up and focus on the oh I don't know. WRESTLING?

Where is the wrestling?

Its no wonder I switched and watched Death Wish IV.

I flip back and see Sting beating the shit out of.......Ken Anderson's truck.

Switch back to Death Wish IV.

I flip back to see Samoa Joe (a mere shadow of his former self btw) saying that NO-ONE will ever beat his streak. Surely not a muscle head named Crimson.

Death Wish IV is in the lead as Charles Bronson kills a drug dealer by shooting him with a rocket launcher. Or was that the ending of Death Wish III. I forgot.

Fuck it. I'll watch the RERUN of Death wish IV Impact is still on at 10pm. No one cares! I don't care about the show, the wrestlers are not the focus of the show, titles are not the focus of the show. But somewhere Charles Bronson (god bless him) is doing what he does best. Shooting evil doers, and giving me a nice pay off at the end.

Gargano as a thorn in his side. Great back story and I would not be surprised if Silas has something to say AFTER this match is over!

Edge Retires-Who Will He Surrender His Title To?

This blog post is dedicated to the memory of "Sweet-n-Sour" Larry Sweeny. RIP.

We have all seen countless retirement speeches, that were not real, and a few that were.
Last night the "rater R superstar" Edge announced his retirement. This Friday Edge has to surrender his championship. The smart move would be to have a tournament to crown a new champion. Edge should help his friend Christian go all the way to the top.

But I bet they are just going to give it to Alberto Del Rio, which would be stupid because then he'd be nothing more than the guy who LOST to Edge, only to get the title anyway.

Oh well I guess we all have to tune in on Friday....thank you Edge!
